I am not aware that our security personnel in Esscom (Eastern Sabah Security Commany) never had any SOP (standard operating procedure) after being deployed for ages now!
And I am sure the intruders, the 'lanun' and terrorists never subscribed to any SOP each time they invaded our territory. They come to kill, kidnap and do anything they like without fear because each time we need to fire at them, we need to seek permission from Putrajaya.
Don't tell me we don't have any SOP, not even to fire warning shots?
We are the ones giving the intruders 'passports' to penetrate deep into Sabah since no SOP was imposed on our security personnel stationed there.
How old are our armed forces and PDRM? Two years old? Three perhaps? What about our administration?
I am not belittling them but what's the point of deploying so many personnel and sophisticated equipment if we don't have any SOP by now! You think this job is about 'jaga lembu'?
Please... wake up!

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak wants a clear Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) drawn up before security forces are given the authority to shoot on sight suspicious targets encroaching Sabah waters. No wonder we are easily preyed on!
The Prime Minister said this was to ensure personnel on the ground had a clear understanding on situations that allowed them to exercise the power.
“We do not want any confusion and misinterpretation that could lead to untoward incidents affecting innocent lives,” he said here.
He, however, agreed that aggressive measures should be taken to tackle the security problems in the eastern coast of Sabah.Najib said the security forces would draw up the SOP which would be approved by the Government before it was enforced.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said any order to shoot on sight must be looked into thoroughly first.
“This is because we know that there are also water traders and villagers in the area.
