It seems that non-Muslims only attribute terrorism to Islam and Muslims. They label Islam and a religion of terror and hide the fact that terrorists exist everywhere, in each and every religion around the world.
However, I personally will not link terrorism to any religion. No religions allow its followers to subscribe to such brutality.
Its just like drinking alcohol, sodomy, taking drugs, stealing, rape, murder, corruption and other bad deed. Tell me, what has all that got to do with a religion?
Is if fair to link the Buddhist-majority Chinese of taking up gambling and prostitution from their religion, or Hindu encourages its followers to drink 'todi'? Not fair at all, right? Its all about individualism, about them being astray from the fundamentals of religions and refuse to become its believer.

And I am with the Malay right-wing group Perkasa, which has lodged a police report against the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism for linking controversial preacher Zakir Naik to terrorist attacks in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
I don't support Perkasa right from its very beginning but when it comes to defending my religion, I am with them.
He had urged the police to investigate a “confusing” statement made by the interfaith group which he alleged had offended Muslims, when the council’s deputy president RS Mohan Shan had said Zakir was “feeding youths with ideas” that could lead to terrorism.
Mohan Shan had urged the government to rescind Zakir’s Maal Hijrah award and ban him from speaking in Malaysia again.
Zakir is in the spotlight after investigations revealed that two of the gunmen involved in the Dhaka attack were his followers. The attack claimed the lives of 20 people at a cafe.
I've never listened to Zakir. He came a few months ago and had meetings with some key Cabinet ministers and Muslim scholars, who didn't see him as a 'terrorist'. However, I am for an investigation on him and his activities worldwide.
But if Zakir is a terrorist, it has nothing to do with Islam, don't you agree? Its him and what he believes. Just like 'todi' and 'ayam'.... nothing to do with religions!

PARIS: In a major development that should silence critics of Islam who have been blaming it for terrorism, UNESCO has declared that Islam is the most peaceful religion of the world (pic above). The UNESCO won't have simply came up with such a declaration without an in-depth study on Islam. Or many people out there have doubt in the world body by saying its only to 'cool off adverse international perception on Islam'.
The United Nations body released a statement earlier today that revealed that UNESCO had partnered with International Peace Foundation six months back to study all religions of the world and find out which was most peaceful amongst all.
“After six months of rigorous study and analysis, we have concluded that Islam is the most peaceful religion,” Robert McGee, head of comparative studies wing of International Peace Foundation declared in a press conference that was attended by UNESCO officials too.
When asked about the terror attacks being carried out in the name of Islam, including the recent ones in Dhaka and Baghdad, the UNESCO official denied that it had anything to do with Islam.
“Terror has no religion,” he said, “Islam means peace.”

Perkasa assistant secretary Muhammad Zahiruddin Zulkamar told FMT that the interfaith council’s actions were an attempt to smear Islam’s image. He dismissed the group’s claims that Zakir was espousing ideas that could influence youths to become terrorist. “MCCBCHST has no solid evidence to back its claims,” he said.
“It seems like they are trying to destroy the unity among Malaysians, where the majority are Muslims. It appears they are fanning the issue purposely in a bid to slander Islam by linking it to terrorism.”
Muhammad Zahiruddin said he had lodged a report against the group at the Dang Wangi police station yesterday evening.
He had urged the police to investigate a “confusing” statement made by the interfaith group which he alleged had offended Muslims, when the council’s deputy president RS Mohan Shan had said Zakir was “feeding youths with ideas” that could lead to terrorism.
