Why must we make 'unpleasant' comparison of past and current leaders?
Nobody's perfect. Each and every leader has separate agenda, approach and plan. If Tunku Abdul Rahman is 'Bapa Kemerdekaan', his successors had also contributed in their own personal ways - all for the benefit of the country and rakyat.
Whether its Tun Razak, Tun Hussein, Tun Mahathir, Tun Abdullah or Dato Seri Najib, they have more or less similar set of development plan; the only difference maybe is their 'style' of executing it.
I am not sure what Adenan Satem was driving at but I hope he is wise enough (he is wise, for sure) not to draw criticism from 'this and that' camps!
The Sarawak Chief Minister said yesterday Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak have done more for Sarawak than all the previous prime ministers, "including the one who served for 22 years" (a reference to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad).
He said the Sarawak people knew how to be grateful as Najib showed his appreciation of Sarawak through his action in developing the state.
The state is very grateful for that, he added.
He said unlike the previous prime minister, Najib always gave attention to development in Sarawak and became the most frequent prime minister to visit Sarawak.
"When the time comes for us to show gratitude, never doubt our loyalty, we know how to say thank you, unlike some people in West Malaysia, including from UMNO," he added.
I think former CM Taib Mahmud appreciates Dr M better...

The current prime minister has done a lot for Sarawak's development, more than Tun Mahathir Mohamad, who was prime minister for more than 20 years, he added.Adenan said the Pan Borneo Highway, the biggest engineering project in Malaysia, would be Najib's legacy to be remembered by the people of Sarawak.
However, he said there was a need for Najib to solve the 1MDB issue fast.
"Don't ever resign, stick to your job, we want you to remain there. Don't be perturbed, we'll be behind you.
"We are behind Prime Minister Najib come hell or high water. We will be behind you all time, and we do this not because we are afraid of you, but because it is the right thing to do," he said to a crowd of about 3,000 people at the State Gawai Dayak Dinner 2015 at the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DDBNA) Hall here Wednesday night.
The state is very grateful for that, he added.
