They are getting notorious. Who did it and the motive are up to the police to investigate but if this trend continues, I think we better start considering available options to safeguard the public safety from such threats.

Give the police the full power to stamp out such a menace. The 2015 Budget on Friday should also include some additional budget for new weapons and facility.

The existing law - no matter how draconian it is - must be re-enacted and retain for the public interest. No lawyers, NGOs or human rights group should question if an extremist or members of the underworld are killed or hauled up.
At least 10 people were injured early this morning when a hand grenade exploded in front of a pub along Jalan Bukit Bintang in the heart of the city.
According to police sources, car jockey Tiong Kwang Yie was seriously injured and is in critical condition.
"Police received a complaint at 4.25am and sent a despatch to the Cherry Blossom nightclub to ascertain the damage.
"Initial reports indicate that two hand grenades had been thrown from the second floor of a building."
The injured, eight men and two women, aged between 20 and 42, were sent to Kuala Lumpur Hospital and Tung Shin Hospital.
"The injured included nationals from Thailand (1), China (2) and Singapore (2). Some of them were club patrons,” said one of the sources.
The victims have been identified as Lim Soon Hock, 51, Teoh Keow Meng, 40, Yaw Lee Hock, 41, C. Revindran, 49, and Tiong Kwang Yie.
The foreign nationals are Jasu (Thailand), Wong Kim Teng (Singapore), Ma Yunfeng and Yong Jiaqin (both China).
"Initial investigations reveal that two hand grenades were thrown but only one exploded."
It could be the job of gangsters but if don't put a stop to it, others may take advantage of our 'soft diplomacy' in dealing with things like this. Some nasty racist agents might ride on it and spark trouble because there are always good human rights lawyer representing them.

This is just a 'small beginning'; I hope not. While it bears a black mark on our tourism industry, foreigners (especially investors) will have a second thought of coming to Malaysia.

We may end up like southern Thailand or Jaffna in northern Sri Lanka. The 'archaic law' is there and should be used to effect. Those liberal and freedom fighters must start weighing the impact of the Bukit Bintang incident unless they really want the country comes under ransack.

Yes, we have the right to choose!
