KUALA LUMPUR: THE Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination for Science paper has been postponed to Sept 30 due to alleged leakage of questions on the social media today.
The Science paper (018,028 and 038) was scheduled for tomorrow (Sept 11), but could not be conducted due to the leakage and revealed on the Internet.
The Education Ministry, in a statement today, said the Malaysian Examinations Board said based on initial investigations, the content of the question paper was found to have been leaked through the social media.
“The Malaysian Examinations Board has lodged a police report to facilitate investigations and action will be taken against those involved,” it said.
A total of 472,853 candidates from 8,384 schools nationwide are affected. The examination was originally scheduled for tomorrow at 8.15am to 9.30am.
Meanwhile, in Tumpat, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin apologised to parents and pupils for the incident and promised it would not recur.
Second education minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh also apologised via Twitter to Year Six pupils for the leakage.
