Just a short one on Selangor political crisis. I am fed up!
I was following comments by some Umno leaders who 'backed up' Khalid Ibrahim as the mentri besar. There were also suggestions for PAS to leave Pakatan Rakyat and join BN.
Hope was high among the Malays who wished to see 'perpaduan Melayu' should Umno and PAS reach an agreement on it. If PAS leaves Pakatan, there was a chance it would join BN; if they don't join BN, at least Pakatan will be doomed in the next general election and BN could leverage on the crack.
However, PAS has thrown support for Wan Azizah to replace Khalid. No way would they support Azmin Ali because they are more 'indebted' to their boss, Anwar Ibrahim. The political pact saw PAS won more Parliament seats than DAP and PKR in two previous general elections.
PAS doesn't care about 'perpaduan Melayu'. Their only objective is to wrest Putrajaya - either by its own or with DAP and PKR.
Doesn't matter if they rule Malaysia with the two 'odd' partners; what matters most is to see the demise of Barisan Nasional...and the death of Umno.
So, why is Umno and 'Melayu dalam Umno' still hoping for 'a Malay unity' with PAS? PAS will forever remain our foe. Just admit the fact!
Forget PAS. Umno should instead work harder to strengthen its position in the country by attracting the present young generation. Umno too must overhaul its strategy in wooing more members. However, it has to re-engineer its approach by getting rid of those who only want to lucre from their position in the party.
There are still problems within Umno. Attend to that first before talking 'Malay unity'. The top leadership must go down to the ground and not let lies and fabricated reports coming to their desk.
PAS is no more a Malay or Islamic party. No precise word to describe them because they are here to demonise national (Malay) unity and harmony, just like DAP and PKR!
Why are we so hard up?
