MCA and DAP are throwing punches at each other. Both are against 'hudud' or the Islamic Law mooted by PAS.

DAP has been accusing MCA of doing nothing to stop its planned implementation in Kelantan while the BN component hit back by saying the opposition party was actually 'supporting' PAS for keeping numb about it.

Since the passing of Karpal Singh - the biggest opponent of 'hudud' last month - DAP seemed to have lost steam in its campaign against the law.

MCA deputy president Wee Ka Siong and Ayer Hitam MP sensed that loophole and battered DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang in a statement published by Malaysiakini.
While DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang had announced that Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has promised to not allow another repeat of the raid on the Hindu wedding by the Selangor Islamic Affairs Department (Jais), the more pressing question is whether Lim has persuaded PAS to guarantee that they will give up their dream of implementing hudud law?
Although Lim is a vocal politician, yet when it comes to the issue of PAS’ hudud, he adopts the 3B attitude – Buta (Blind), Bisu (Silent), Bohong (Misleading).
This is because he lacks the courage to stand up to PAS, and has decided to use Khalid’s guarantee in Selangor to gain political mileage instead.
Whenever a subject of religion arise involving PAS and non-Muslims, Lim will feign indifference.
Why does he not issue statements saying that PAS has assured him that they will forgo their religious goal to implement hudud law? Is it because he has not talked to PAS about their Islamic agenda, or because he does not dare to?
Everytime hudud law is brought up, Lim will never face the issue head-on. Instead, his party will tell non-Muslims that there is nothing to fear about PAS’ hudud law if they do nothing wrong.
On the other hand, DAP tries to push the blame to MCA by saying that we have done nothing to object to it, when in truth, it is DAP who are doing nothing.
If they really are against it, then Lim should approach Kelantan Menteri Besar Ahmad Yaakob to tell him that the majority of Malaysians are against PAS’ hudud law, but the real question is, will he dare do so?
Ever since Pakatan took over the Selangor government with DAP’s help, we have seen PAS expanding their influence in the state, thus contributing to the rise in various religious infringements against non-Muslims.
I personally doubt Wee's lines "...majority of Malaysians are against PAS' hudud..." and "...various infringements against non-Muslims" which carried no basis.

However, I like the way he 'gasak' Lim Kit Siang.
