WOW! Umno Supreme Council meeting at Janda Baik last Friday suddenly sends shivers down the neck of some parties, including Bersatu's Armada and the new 'Minister Cluster' in Umno itself.
Armada demands details of the meeting to be made public. Their prompt interest is unbelievable. Why and why bother should be points to ponder. Losing sleep, maybe?
The meeting produced no official statement except for some 'sources' news by Malaysiakini and other media. The 'sources' can be categorised into two - one from a few pro-Perikatan Nasional government and another from those against.
The first category of course involves some Umno ministers (I said 'some) enjoying the comfort being in PM Muhyiddin Yassin's cabinet. That's how the 'Minister Cluster' gained its label. Being pro-PN and supportive of the idea in getting Umno and Bersatu to cooperate in next general election, I believe they are the ones leaking fabricated story that 'majority of the MT members are in support of PN government'.
'Government'? Do we have any now?
Umno President and Barisan Nasional Chairman Zahid Hamidi was also accused of using his veto power during the meeting for all MT members to vote against PN. What? Lan ney... if he wants to veto, there was no need at all for him to call for meetings.
But this is how the Minister Cluster used their position to get their 'kambings' (their officer) to stray bullets at Zahid and Umno. Afraid of losing their comfort in PN and the possibility being chopped off by the party in next GE, the only option left was to get Umno-Bersatu cooperation realised, which could save their arses.
Easy to read between the lines, right?
This Minister Cluster team are in fact all over the country now on a mission - oust Zahid as Umno President and demonise the present leadership, unite Umno-Bersatu and install their own lineup in the party top posts, then continue being Bersatu caddy as long as they get what they want from PN. Doesn't matter if they have to go for a kill.
Is Malaysiakini willing to expose its sources?
By the way, the party sources are reliable. Rebutting Mkini reports, they said since no statement is made, such news were not of the Venus Fly Trap. Loosed reporting. Can't blame the reporters, they were news hunter. If they come back to the office empty handed, the news editor will 'apprehend' them.
However, as most of the Supreme Council members are against Umno-Bersatu collaboration in the next general election, they have decided that any outcome of the meeting will be handed to Muhyiddin confidentially. Let him read and understand.
One more - Umno will no more demand the DPM post from Muhyiddin since he got the agenda (with the Minister Cluster, maybe) to see the demise of Umno...God knows better.
