I had a good laugh, really. Had he got the numbers (was it 129?), he should already be at the doorstep of Istana Negara two weeks ago. Had he got it, he should be parading all those Members of Parliament at a press conference.
However, it did not happen. Even the 111-111 numbers that could have easily throw the present government into a limbo, did not happen. Muhyiddin did not show any sign that he was forced to back down.
Everything goes on as usual despite the USUALs of Dr M to unseat each and every prime minister after him - from Najib Razak and Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and played Anwar Ibrahim (I dunno how many times) into believing that he will succeed Dr M as the prime minister.
It was Dr M's game, politically and personally. Bersatu (on Muhyiddin's side), UMNO, PAS and others got no reason to feel threatened by him anymore.
What he is doing now exposes his true colors, and the rakyat are more blase with him. UMNO should thanks Allah the Almighty that the man who took the party for a free ride for over 22 years is no more at its helm. And we can understand why he was against UMNO to have a footing in the government.
To me, he poses no political danger. Its time for Malaysians to march on without him and his Pakatan Rakyat. If his son Mukhriz wants to stay active in politics, choose between his father's 'Malay devastating' tactic or be a national hero again, with Muhyiddin or with UMNO president Zahid Hamidi. UMNO's door is always open to those who wish to come back, depending on cases.
Pakatan Harapan will be history. Bersatu too may be history if Muhyiddin fails to realize how detrimental the split in his party would be to his political future.
Forget about Dr M from now on. Either PN, MN or BN, work together to prepare a more promising Malaysia. In years to come, the nation is expected to brace a more challenging era, especially economy and the post-Covid survival.
Why must we pay attention to him anymore. He has some contributions to the country but others have theirs too. We thank and recognise him for that. You can't be No.1 forever, admit it!
So, don't be scared, and this is fact!
