So many senile people around us

Senile? Who is?

Some of my FB friends whacked Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi for giving a good piece of advise to former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad - to stop talking much or people might call him 'senile'.

What's wrong with Zahid's advise? Dr M is almost 92 now, and of course he still looks alright to us. Let's pray God The Almighty keeps him in good health.

Zahid was not trying to be rude or 'kurang ajar'. He has high respect for Tun. But others would do the same by giving Tun similar advise. It was a matter of concern and respect for the old man, especially after all the 'unpredictable' he had done of late.
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should stop speaking before people start accusing him of being senile, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Zahid said the former prime minister should take his advice seriously as the people were already having negative perceptions of him.
“He should stop commenting about others. He should stop talking or people will think he is senile.
“That is all I want to say,” he told a press conference at the police tactical centre in Kuala Kangsar, today.
Zahid was commenting on Dr Mahathir’s statement here today that the deputy prime minister should focus on business instead of being involved in politics.
Many expressed sympathy toward the 'war lord' whom they perceived as still wanting to have his hands in the central administration.

However, there is nothing wrong with that. He can always give advise to the government and help in anything possible to improve it.

But to unseat the prime minister and the ruling party is not what he himself had ever thought of doing!

In Sungai Besar last Saturday, only a few hundreds people attended his ceramah at the opposition camp, and similar scenario was observed in Kuala Kangsar. It made my heart sink!

And that's part of the reasons why people like Zahid and others told him to settle down.

Frankly, I would be among the first to 'slap' those who call him 'buang tebiat'! But to avoid that, he should consider what Zahid had said.
