I believe Malaysians were waiting for the 'big debate' between 1MDB boss Arul Kanda and MP Tony Pua.
Doesn't matter if RTM is not interested to give them a 'live' segment but at least we - regardless of pro-Najib or not - would be able to get some kicks out of it, especially after KJ and TMJ debate was called off.
1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) president and group executive director Arul Kanda Kandasamy says he will not be able to participate in a debate with Tony Pua.Arul Kanda said the debate with the PJ Utara MP would not be possible as police have formed a special task force to investigate the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) findings on 1MDB.He also cited 1MDB’s “public dispute” with International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) as another reason he could not engage Pua in live debate.“I am now fully focused on assisting PDRM, and resolving the IPIC dispute.“As such I cannot engage in a debate which may prejudice 1MDB’s legal position in relation to the investigation and the dispute,” said Arul Kanda in a statement on Wednesday.Last month, Pua had challenged Arul Kanda to a live debate for a second time concerning 1MDB, following the conclusion of the PAC’s investigation into the government investment arm.Personally, I would love to attend the debate, if not to get cleared pictures of the issue, at least I can pick the best debater.
Also, hope nobody will accuse Arul has chickened out over reasons he gave...
