I don't understand why Ku Nan made statements about the level of security in Kuala Lumpur and its suburbs, citing some places as being the target of terrorist.
It could cause panic among the public!
Stop acting like a police chief, will you? Its not your turf, so leave it to Bukit Aman to come up with a statement.
The Federal Territories Minister, citing an intelligence report, said the seven areas are Bangsar, Hartamas, Publika, The Curve, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur and KL Tower.
He also said the Federal Territories ministry has instructed that security be beefed up in crowded areas in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan.
“The number of police will be increased. We will discuss with the defence ministry if there’s a need to mobilise soldiers," citing Indonesia and Turkey were attacked as they are popular with tourists.
“There are people who want to cause trouble and are jealous of our achievements. Look at what happened to Indonesia and Turkey, they have many tourists in their countries,” he said, urging the public to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
City police chief Tajudin Md Isa, meanwhile assured that it was safe for citizens and tourists to enter the city.
Commenting on Tengku Adnan's statement earlier, Tajudin said; "We are not sure where Datuk Seri Adnan got his information from but as far as we're concerned, the security at all public places have been intensified and we are doing all we can to monitor suspicious activities and maintaining public order," he said.
Who is/are the intelligence source, Ku Nan?
