What will Najib tell us today?

As promised, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak will explain (could it be detail out?) the RM2.6 billion donation he received from 'the Arab donors'.

It would be interesting since the issue exploded five months ago and made headlines worldwide... but not in too many countries.

The opposition leaders have been trying to 'slain' him politically by launching series of abrasive critics against him. Worst was when Najib had to remove his deputy Muhyiddin Yassin and Umno's vice president Shafie Apdal for criticising him in the open forum.

Not only the opposition wanted him to explain; there were Barisan Nasional leaders and party members too.

The saga heightened when Najib's biggest critic, former premier Tun Mahathir Mohamad and other 'former' senior ministers 'criminalised' him by accusing him of lying to the public, and that the money was 'stolen' from 1MDB which also took the limelight for some 'unexplained corporate calculations'.

Even ex-MCA president Ling Liong Sik has to engage a good lawyer when Najib sued him over his 'slanderous' remarks. However, PM's legal team has yet to sue WSJ and get their hand on UK-based Sarawak Report.

And there was Xavier Andre Justo - another link to 1MDB, WSJ and Sarawak Report - who is serving a 2-year jail in Bangkok for blackmailing is former employer PetroSaudi.

Our police will 'interview' him there soon to ascertain his claims that some Malaysian politicians were trying to unseat Najib in an undemocratic manner by fabricating lies about his 1MDB, that RM2.6b 'from 1MDB' and other issues.

However, Najib was so cool although nobody wanted to believe him that the RM2.6 billion was not from 1MDB. Even the MACC clearance was not good enough to convince some Malaysians.

Until today, he remains unperturbed but he must clear the air once and for all. Its important because of the damage it had done to him, the country and the party. It also saw some of his friends turn foes overnight.

I do not wish to give more details about the history of Najib's RM2.6 billion, which he said was for political use.

We all know the story - how it got started and who started it. Let's listen to him today when he goes to the Dewan Rakyat.
