Abdul Gani Patail was removed as the Attorney-General yesterday amid rumors that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak would reshuffle his Cabinet today.
Gani's service has been terminated as of July 27, 2015 due to health reasons.
This was announced by Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Ali Hamsa through the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) today.
Replacing Abdul Gani is former Federal Court judge, Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali (pic), whose date of appointment was effective yesterday.
